Oregon gubernatorial election, 1942

The Oregon gubernatorial election of 1942 took place on November 3 of that year. The Oregon secretary of state and republican candidate Earl W. Snell, who had successfully defeated incumbent governor Charles A. Sprague in the republican primaries, defeated democrat Lew Wallace, 220,188 (77.87%) to 62,561 (22.13%) in the general election. This was the largest margin for any gubernatorial candidate in Oregon history.
